Consultation

The Government of Canada has a duty to consult, and where appropriate, accommodate Indigenous communities when it considers a project that adversely impact potential or established Aboriginal or treaty rights.

The Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg (KZA) consultation sector is responsible for coordinating the receipt, analysis and response to a variety of consultation requests from the Governments of Canada and Quebec as well as municipalities and private sector interests for various projects and initiatives throughout the KZA Traditional Territory.
